Jakarta – Surabaya-based automotive manufacturer Wintrone Orionis Indonesia took part in the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 by showcasing its latest electric bus, named Orionis Sarvatra.

The presence of this vehicle serves as proof that Indonesia’s national automotive industry is becoming increasingly serious about developing environmentally friendly transportation. Rather than merely being a spectator at one of Indonesia’s largest automotive exhibitions, Wintrone Orionis appeared with an innovation created by local talent for the public to see.

The Orionis Sarvatra electric bus features a modern and futuristic low-entry high-deck design, successfully attracting the attention of many visitors during the exhibition held at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

Rahadian Prabowo, Corporate Secretary and Homologation Manager of Wintrone Orionis, explained that before being showcased at GIIAS 2025, the vehicle had undergone a series of operational trials with the Surabaya City Government in July.

According to him, the test results on passenger-carrying corridors showed fairly good energy efficiency performance, reaching around 1.5 to 1.7 kilometers per kWh.

This electric bus is the result of a collaboration between Wintrone Orionis and Karoseri Tentrem. The vehicle uses the E-Velocity body, which is specifically designed to meet the needs of modern urban transportation.

With the concept of an electric vehicle for public transportation, the Orionis Sarvatra is expected to become a more efficient, comfortable, and environmentally friendly mobility solution for urban communities in Indonesia.

In addition to supporting the reduction of exhaust emissions, the presence of this locally made electric bus also opens up significant opportunities for the development of Indonesia’s national electric vehicle industry and strengthens the position of Indonesian-made automotive products in the domestic market.
